A new trailer was released for Nutcracker & the Four Realms , along with this description: "All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Hoffmann’s classic tale." There's a little more to go on for people like me who have never really fully seen the full story of The Nutcracker . I've seen excerpts here & there, but have never really been interested enough to see the whole story. And if I'm being totally honest, this trailer didn't make me want to hold my breath til November 2nd. Don't get me wrong, it looks visually amazing. In fact, I'm blown away by the visuals displayed here. I just didn't get much from the trailer that I hadn't already known. It looked like it would definitely grab anyone who's a Nutcracker fan already, but I didn't see anything that grabbed me except the synopsis. The synopsis actually sounds more appealing than what they've shown. This thing could have some hope for me yet. Won't know for sure until November 2nd. Maybe future trailers, with a little more story will help curve my excitement up. Anyway, what do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
