It feels like this thing has been under construction for awhile. It's been almost a year since Magic Kingdom visitors have been "Welcomed to the Hall of Presidents", an original attraction & personal favorite of Walt Disney himself. Now Chip & Co. confirms that not only is the Hall of Presidents about to open, it's opening back up tomorrow, 12/18. Supposedly it's got some amazing new enhancements, including the new ultra-lifelike audio-animatronic President Donald Trump. Whom the inevitable addition of caused quite a stir this year, after the election. The President came later to personally record his remarks, as each president has done since the early 90's. I didn't really get sucked into the whole controversy thing. He's the president when it comes down to it, it would go against history to omit President Trump. I still think it would've been hilarious if he got up & tweeted instead of talking, but that's just funny, pro or con. It's strange how much I've been looking forward to this reopening, but I really have. I've always liked the Hall of Presidents more than most folks, but this is the first time it's this high on the list of to-dos. I'll definitely make it a point to hit this on our New Year's Eve trip. President Trump Will Speak At Magic Kingdom's "Hall Of Presidents"
I had heard that The Hall Of President's reopening would be delayed recently, & I kinda figured it was due to the decision of how to handle the addition of everyone's favorite hot button, President Donald Trump. It's really seemed like a damned if they do, damned if they don't type situation, with very vocal parties on each side. We even offered our own solution. However, Chip & Co. reports that Jacquee Wahler, vice president of Disney communications has said, "The same thing that we've done with other presidents, is the same plan we have for President Trump." So that definitely seems to point to Trump having a speaking when the attraction opens up now "late 2017". Pretty curious as to the actual dialog involved, but it looks as if I'll have a little while to wait. I just hope it's really, really big. In fact, the biggest speech ever to given at The Hall of Presidents. Kidding, but really I hope this thing does have all the hyperbole of a usual Trump speech. Disneyworld Might Be Having Trouble With Donald Trump & We May Have A Solution
Ever since Bill Clinton, Disneyworld's Hall Of Presidents has had the residing presidential robot stand & address the audience. Rumor has been this might not be the case for current POTUS, Donald Trump. This rumor has been tracked down to Motherboard, who quotes an inside source with Imagineer knowledge. No word from Disney at all, but this has been a very heated subject with multiple petitions calling for the silence/removal of the current President. Honestly, they have themselves in a pickle that I would never want to find myself in. This is definitely a damned if you do or don't moment. I might have an accurate solution to this problem though. What if instead of words, when Trump stands up, he pulls out a cellphone, pushes it, & a couple tweet chirps ring out through the crowd. Problem fixed, everyone could be happy with this.
