"Sword In The Stone" Has A Director

This is in a close run to being my favorite classic piece of Disney animation, & now it has a director attached. In a THR exclusive Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, is in negotiations to helm the live-action remake to The Sword in the Stone . Fresnadillo is best known for directing 28 Weeks Later. Which, while I didn't enjoy it as much as 28 Days Later, it's my second favorite zombie film. Bryan Cogman wrote the script, he's a writer-producer on HBO's Game of Thrones.  I can't wait to see where this goes. The Sword In The Stone is not only the best telling we've ever got of this story in my opinion, it's the only one out of three out of many, many attempts I think even worked at all. Out of all the announced live-action remakes, this is the one I'm most excited for. Only have that one film to really judge this director from, but it was a solid one, & he was trying to follow up the great Danny Boyle even. What do y'all think though? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Disney In Talks With Ridley Scott For "The Merlin Saga"

I'm really hit or miss withb Ridley Scott. When he's on, he makes amazing films, but when he's off, he seems to be way off. That said, in a Variety exclusive, Scott may have found his next directing project. He's in talks with Disney to direct The Merlin Saga, based on the T.A Barron books about a young Merlin pre-Arthur. This is one of two film's Disney is currently developing based on Merlin. They're also working on a live-action Sword in the Stone, which Scott also was met with on. For me the Ridley Scott thing we'll see, but the fact that these are getting talked about has me pumped. Sword in the Stone is one of my all-time favorite movies, I even loved the made for TV Merlin with Sam Neil. I can't wait to hear more on this one. What do y'all think though? Of the film & the possible attachment of Ridley Scott? As long as we get the good Ridley I'm in. Put it in the comments, like, & share.
