After all the teasers & trailers we've seen for Ralph Breaks the Internet up to this one, I mentioned that it looked hilarious, I didn't really see the heart from the previous film. This newest trailer delivers on just that. It seems in Penelope's quest for what we know now is a replacement steering wheel, she develops a fondness for the internet life. Much to the contrast of Ralph's feelings on the matter. At least, that's what I'm gathering from what I just watched. Adding the heart I was looking for in previous clips. This wrapped this whole thing up for me in a nice little perfect package. If these trailers are an inkling of where this movie is going? It has potential to be even better than the first. Not only that, it's double/tripling down on the the nostalgia/pop culture thing this time around. Which as an old school gamer was one of my favorite parts about the first. November 21st seems like a long wait, but in all actuality, it's just around the corner. This trailer was everything I needed to go into this one with no worries at all. I Missed The Sneak Peek Of "Ralph Breaks The Internet"?
Go figure. On the road all day, & it just so happens to be the day they release the sneak peek of Ralph Breaks the Internet, Disney's Nov 21st follow up to Wreck-It Ralph. The sneak peek features the first look at newly announced cast member Gal Gadot as Shank, the "tough as nails" racer from the online game Slaughter Race. Honestly though, her scenes get fully overshadowed by Merida from Brave with the rest of the princesses. I was rolling laughing at that scene. It just kept giving. I'm so excited for this one. The first was a major surprise me. I didn't think I was going love it as much as I did. I want this to follow it up right so bad. So far the comedy seems totally on point. This thing's gonna tear the internet apart. My only concern is its actual, core storyline. Going into the internet to get a piece to save Penelope's game, Sugar Rush, seems a little thin. The first had a lot going on to rig on the heartstrings. I'm hoping this finds a way to keep that substance going alongside the funny. What did y'all think of this sneak peek? Love This New Trailer For "Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2"
Stormtroopers!!! I never thought I'd be saying I have to see Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 would be stormtroopers!! This trailer has me begging for this film to hurry up & get here. Released along with this absolutely great new poster, November 21st I know where I'll be. Before that if I can. We finally get to see the princess footage from 2017's D23, & it's every bit as great as they say it was. I have a feeling none of us will look at the internet the same way after this. Speaking of which, comedy aside, I love the model of the internet used in this film. The way they bring the world to life is so amazing, this film dosen't even need plot beyond that. I could watch them aimlessly roam around this internet for hours. In fact, this would've even made an awesome series. There's literally no end to where they can go with this. I had so much fun with this trailer I'm probably going to watch it a third time when I'm done writing this. I can't wait to see this movie. You have to check this out. Disney just dropped this trailer for Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2 , & it looks friggin' hilarious. This thing is going to go total commentary on the interweb as the arcade gets Wi-Fi. IMDB, EBay, it even has pop-ups, but I walk away with one thing in particular that I will be saying for the next forever, "The bunny gets the pancakes.." I was excited for this sequel already, but this just kicked that into overdrive. Thanksgiving I know where I'll be. What did y'all think? Did this trailer do it for you? Thoughts On Disney*Pixar*Marvel*Lucasfilm Line-up For The Year
Disney released their line-up for the year along with these pics, some new & old, last night. I thought it would be a great time to go over what's coming out, & go over our anticipation going in. Now, they put them from first to last. Which to me was messed up, because after you read the last ones you're all the sudden most excited for the stuff that's furthest away. So I'm going to do it in reverse. That way when the list is done, what you read last is the closest release. See, I'm always thinking of y'all..
Mary Poppins Returns (Dec. 25) - Christmas will be a "Jolly Holiday" with Mary Poppins Returns, where everyone's favorite nanny gets a reprise by Emily Blunt. She'll be joined by Lin-Manuel Miranda as Jack the lamplighter, Ben Whishaw & Emily Mortimer as Michael & Jane Banks, Julie Walters as Banks' housekeeper Ellen, Colin Firth as Fidelity Bank's William Weatherall Wilkins, & Meryl Streep as Mary's cousin, Topsy. A new generation of Banks children will be played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh, & newbie Joel Dawson. Mary Poppins has to have some drop-ins, so we'll also be getting an appearance from Angela Lansbury as the Balloon Lady while Dick Van Dyke will be playing the retired chairman of the bank now ran by Firth's character, Mr. Dawes Jr.. This is one I want to say I'm super excited for, like the kids in this pic, but I'm a little hesitant still on this one. Everything looks great, but we're talking a lot of time that has passed between these. Not only that, but this was a period piece even then. I just hope a Mary Poppins can still come off as relevant today. Lord knows, the right amount of talent is involved, so if it's going to happen, this is the way to do it. I can't wait to see more of this to help me really reach a decision.
Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 (Nov 21) - This one has John C. Reilly & Sarah Silverman coming back together as Ralph & Vanellope von Schweetz to save Sugar Rush by finding a replacement part on the World Wide Web. They will be joined in their adventures by Taraji Henson as website owner Yesss, head algorithm & heart & soul of "BuzzzTube". I think we all know where they're going with that one. This is something I couldn't believe when it was announced. I LOVE some Wreck-It Ralph, but I never thought we'd be getting a sequel. I mean, look how long we had to wait for The Incredibles. The first Ralph blew me away though. Not only was it hilarious, it had a lot of heart & soul. If this sequel is half as good as the first, it will still be a great film. November 21 is going to be a long, hard wait. Love this image of the internet though.
The Nutcracker & the Four Realms (Nov 2) - If there's one on this list that I'm worried about not even liking, this is the one. Now, I've said before I've never actually seen the Nutcracker fully in any form. When I heard the story it just never seemed that intriguing to me. The trailer didn't do anything to help me either. If I didn't know better, & there was no sound, I would have swore it was a new chapter to Chronicles of Narnia. Which in all honesty, makes me wonder if I won't be the only one to think that, & if it will affect the box-office? Anyway, Clara (Mackenzie Foy) is on a quest for a one-of-a-kind key, leading her to a parallel world. Once there, she encounters soldier Phillip, a gang a mice, & the regents presiding over three realms: the Lands of Snowflakes, Flowers, & Sweets. However, she must brave the Fourth Realm, home to what will probably be the best part of the film, the tyrant Mother Ginger (Hellen Mirren). Along the way she'll also run into the Sugar Plum Fairy (Keira Knightly) & a performance from Misty Copeland. I'm not sure I'll be excited for this one even if I see more. Here's the pic of the Sugar Plum Fairy along with some very elemental looking fellas. I think the stills are coming off better than the teaser.
Disney's Christopher Robin (Aug 3) - I'm all about some Winnie the Pooh. In fact, my wife makes fun of me for loving two kiddie movies as she calls them. One is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh & the other is Cars. This live-action film will follow Christopher Robin, played by one of my favorite actors Ewan McGregor, now an adult who has lost his way. His old friends from the Hundred Acre Wood will help him try to find the loving, playful boy within. That's about all the plot we're getting at this time, but what else do we need? A pic of the title logo you say? Well you're in luck because that came out to. This sounds great though. I mean, it's a Hundred Acre Wood version of TED, I'm super pumped to see how this works out.
Marvel Studios' Ant-Man & the Wasp (Jul 6) - The first Ant-Man caught me way off guard. I'm a big Paul Rudd fan so I figured I was going to dig it, but it blew me away. It really pulled off being an awesome superhero flick, while also being a great comedy film at the same time. This pic of Rudd & Evangeline Lilly as Ant-Man & the Wasp totally helps build up my excitement too. Her suits not only look great, it totally compliments his giving it that same tech feel. This come right off Captain America: Civil War, where Lang will not only have to deal with his decisions there as a hero & father. He'll also team up once again with Hope & Dr. Hank Pym to uncover secrets from the past. I'm guessing Hank's lost wife most likely?? Hoping this one can be as funny as the first. Can't wait to find out.
Incredibles 2 (Jun 15) - To say the wait has been long & hard for this one to happen would be an understatement. While we don't know much about the actual plot, we do know that the fam will be having to figure out how to handle Jack-Jack's new multi-set of powers & Brad Bird's returning to helm the film. This is going to be, well, incredible! Couldn't pass that up. Here's a pic of the fam looking like they're about to take on something big. We've waited so long, that this one seems really close now.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25) - Oh man, this one has gone through some things hasn't it. To say the Star Wars movie no one asked for has had it's problems is definitely short-changing the situation. Still no trailer, & this title pic is the most we've really even got so far. We've at least now been told we're getting the meeting of Chewie, some Lando, & the Falcon, but they really need an awesome trailer to get A New Hope going on this one. It's rumored it's coming, & I still have my fingers crossed for this one. Disney's Lucasfilm hasn't done me wrong yet, if anyone can pull this one out the gutter it's them.
Marvel Studio's Avengers: Infinity War (May 4) - This is the one on this list for me this year. All the build up to Thanos comes to an end here setting up Avengers 4, which will be a soft ending for the Marvel Universe as we know it. The trailers to this thing have been epic. I know this is going to be an awesome set-up for all hell to break loose in the next film. This has been described as a heist film, with Thanos gathering up the stones for his Infinity Gauntlet. This pic looks straight from the trailer with the battle on Wakanda. One of the many grand action spots I'm sure this film is going to give us.
Disney's A Wrinkle in Time (Mar 9) - The more & more I see of this, I'm finding myself looking forward to seeing it. Director Ava DuVernay's adaption of Madeleine L'Engle's novel looks absolutely beautiful. I don't remember the original, & I'm holding off to compare afterward, as to not spoil anything considering I don't remember. It follows struggling to fit in high school student, Meg Murry (Storm Reid). She & her brother Charles Wallace are extremely gifted in ways they don't know. Their parents are world-renowned physicists, & Mr. Murry (Chris Pine) has went missing. Following his disappearance three celestial beings Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), & Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) journey to Earth to guide Meg, her brother, & classmate Calvin to tesser through time & space to confront an evil force of darkness that is rapidly enveloping the Universe. This synopsis came with this pic of said celestial beings hanging out in a wheat field. They look so out of place, but the film looks awesome nonetheless.
Marvel Studios' Black Panther (Feb 16) - This movie is another one that the more I see of it, the more my interest has grown in it. Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther is Billy Dee Williams cool. Just as he comes home to Wakanda, (Which looks awesome by the way!) to take his rightful place on the throne following his father's death in Civil War, he also has to deal with the re-emerging of a powerful old enemy. This image released captures the cool I was speaking of with T'Challa alongside bodyguards Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o, left) & Shuri (Letitia Wright, right). They will be joined by Michael B Jordan, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, & Andy Serkis. I've already got my tickets, & from the Marvel-record-breaking pre-sales, I'm not the only one. The trailers have put all my worries to rest really on this one now. I'm looking forward to a really good origin story.

Disney Throws Us Some New & Updated Release Dates
Disney released the newest upcoming release date line-up, & it now includes dates for Aladdin, Christopher Robin, Artemis Fowl & more. I was just going take the easy way out & list the new ones, but I figured why not list the whole thing? Here's Disney's upcoming release line up:
- Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017): Literally already have tickets for this one.
- Coco (November 22, 2017): I was worried at first with this being so close to the material of Book of Life, but I can't get enough of what I've seen so far.
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi (December 15, 2017): Every time the trailer for this film plays I stop what I'm doing. Doesn't matter where I am. I can't wait for this.
- Black Panther (February 16, 2018): I didn't know much about the Black Panther until I watched the cartoon mini-series from awhile before the MCU. I loved that series though. Hoping this follows suit.
- A Wrinkle in Time (March 9, 2018): I'm not sure what to think of this yet. The trailer showed they've definitely got the means & the budget to make this, this time around. It's a very intriguing story.
- Dolphins (April 20, 2018): Saw my first DisneyNature film in theaters with the China one this year, & I'm thinking that's going to become our new Earth Day thing. Beautiful film.
- Avengers: Infinity War (May 4, 2018): Can this just happen already?
- Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story (May 25, 2018): Hopefully this movie will overcome it's many developmental problems & have a name by the time it's released.
- Incredibles 2 (June 15, 2018): Why have we waited so long? This should've been a thing already.
- Untitled Christopher Robin Project (August 3, 2018): This is probably one of the most intriguing films on this list. This will either be great or just wrong on so many levels. Love Ewan McGregor though.
- The Nutcracker & the Four Realms (November 2, 2018): I had never heard of this until today, but with Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, & Morgan Freeman, I will make a point to hear more.
- Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 (November 21, 2018): Loved the first. Heard the sneak peek at D23 was great.
- Mary Poppins Returns (December 25, 2018): Fingers crossed. It's been a long time. Emily Blunt & Lin-Manuel Miranda though? It's gotta be good right?
- Dumbo (March 29, 2019): Tim Burton? Really? Have you heard about the new story? This is the one on this list, if any, that I just don't know about this one working at all.
- Untitled DisneyToon Studios Film (April 12, 2019): Aviation. That's everything known about this movie. I have more faith in that than Dumbo.
- Live-Action Aladdin (May 24, 2019): This one is shaping up to be ever so strange. I have to see it just for that fact. Can all the peculiar choices work?
- Toy Story 4 (June 21, 2019): Can I get tickets for this now? Only question I have is will this coincide with the opening of Toy Story Land?
- Artemis Fowl (August 9, 2019): I kinda see this as Disney's answer to Harry Potter. I hope this is good enough to make me want to read the books as well.
- Nicole (November 8, 2019): This is the weird daughter of Santa Claus movie starring Anna Kendrick. This thing is still happening.
- Star Wars: Episode IX (December 20, 2019): Newest test in J.J. Abrams ending something as good as he begins them.

D23 Animation Panel Features Coco, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Toy Story & More
The more I hear about this panel the more I have to think it seemed like more show than substance. That's not a bad thing either, all they want out of these is tease & hype. I wasn't there at all, I'm just going off the small amount of info that was really revealed vs. the scale of the show that accompanied. It is Disney however, & it is all about the show when it comes down to it. Hosted by John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar & Walt Disney Animation Studios. It was a total star studded event. Filled with all kinds of behind the scenes goodies. Here's a quick breakdown of everything:
Untitled Disneytoon Studio Film: First we'll talk about this original new animated picture from Disneytoon Studios. On April 12, 2009 we'll explore the future of aviation all the way to the stars. Directed by Klay Hall & Bobs Gannaway, & produced by Ferrell Barron, I didn't really get enough out of anything I heard to form an opinion on this one. All I've heard was the Space Shuttle had eyes.
Untitled Dan Scanlon Film: Currently in production from Pixar Animation Studios, the director of Monster's University brings us this new original film set in a "suburban fantasy world". Scanlon, talked about losing his father at an early age & went on saying the film is inspired by the question, who was my father? In a world populated by elves, trolls, & sprites we follow 2 elf brothers that lost their fathers when they were too young to remember. With a little magic they take on a quest to that will allow them one last day with their father.
Coco: Right around the corner, I figured the push on this would be a total spectacle. I was right, this ended the show with a bang. Nov. 22, 2017 Pixar's Coco will give us a look at music loving Miguel. Though his family banned music long ago, he follows his love all the way to the Land of the Dead. There he meets his extended family, & in his journey home try to reveal the truth behind his family's ban of tunes. Lee Unkrich (Director), Adrian Molina (co-director), & Darla Anderson shared details of the film with the audience. Followed by the first public performance of Remember Me from the upcoming movie by Anthony Gonzalez (Miguel) & Benjamin Bratt (Ernesto de la Cruz). By the time all was said & done more that 160 performers were on stage, including the Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea, Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles, & the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band. Even though this movie sounds like we may have seen it before (The Book of Life), & it does sound pretty close, I can't help but be really excited to see Pixar's take.
Olaf's Frozen Adventure: It's only natural to bring this one up next, as it will be the opener for Pixar's Coco. Kristen Bell (Frozen's Anna) came out to introduce this holiday adventure featuring the characters of Frozen. The trailer looked great to this 22-minute short will be directed by Kevin Deters & Stevie Wermers-Skelton (Prep & Landing), & produced by Roy Conli (Big Hero 6). Best of all it features my favorite snowman, Olaf. Speaking of Olaf, that's what happened next. Josh Gad (Olaf) surprised the audience with a live performance of the featurette's song That Time of the Year. You just never know what going to happen at D23.
Frozen 2 (Title TBA): Not much was really revealed about the upcoming sequel to 2013's much acclaimed Frozen. A behind-the-scenes video of the research trip to Norway, Finland, & Iceland was shown. Considering Nov. 27, 2019 is a little more than a hop, skip, & jump away, I wasn't expecting much more.
Toy Story 4: Josh Cooley (Riley's First Date?) was invited to the stage to reveal him as the sole director of Toy Story 4, accompanied by a behind-the-scenes day in the life at the studio film. This will be produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out) & is going for a June 21, 2019. Once again not too close, so I wasn't really expecting much. They teased some new characters, including a paper doll, but nothing to exciting.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2: Directors Rich Moore & Phil Johnston introduced Sarah Silverman (Vanellope von Schweetz), in what I knew was going to be something big, as this one is coming next year on Nov. 21, 2018. Silverman introduced a clip from the sequel, letting us know she has a glitch so she, along with returning Ralph (John C. Reilly), Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch), & newcomer, website owning algorithm Yesss (Tariji P. Henson), ventures into the internet. In the clip they find themselves at Oh My Disney where they run into the Disney Princesses, 3-D animated no less. I've heard it's a really funny scene that was then blown away. How? As they go on to tell everyone that the actual princesses came back to reprise their roles, they figured seeing was believing. Auli'i Cravalho (Moana), Kristen Bell (Anna), Kelly MacDonald (Merida), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), Paige O'Hara (Belle), & Jodi Benson (Ariel) took the stage, blowing everyone away. Can't wait to see this movie, I loved the first. I would say people seemed most buzzed about this, if it wasn't for the next entry.
Incredibles 2: I can't believe it's taken this long to finally get a sequel to this movie. However, June 15, 2018 we will finally get to visit this super-powered family again for the first time since 2004. This started with a look into what the fashion world thinks of Incredibles stylist Edna Mode. Featuring Heidi Klum, Kendall Jenner, Zac Posen, & Rachel Zoe, this thing was hilarious. I love Edna Mode. She was one of my favorite parts of the original film. Next up, director Brad Bird (Voice of Edna too) was brought on with Craig T. Nelson (Mr. Incredible), Holly Hunter (Mrs. Incredible), Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (newbie Huck Milner, & Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson). They revealed details of a bigger universe, containing new allies & an all new villain. The first one is still the best rendition of Fantastic 4 we've ever had. I've been waiting for this for awhile, & I think as superhero crazed as everyone is this will go over even better this time around. There was also a unfinished clip featuring Jak Jak coming into his powers. Mr. Incredible falls asleep watching the baby. Next thing you know Jak Jak comes into all his new powers while fighting a raccoon. I've heard this was hilarious. I hope we get to see it when it's finished.
