Marvel Studios' “Black Widow” Gets A Teaser

Just around the corner now with a release date of May 2020, Marvel's upcoming Black Widow prequel has released a teaser trailer. The trailer was decent for what it was. It was basically a quick intro to the characters Natasha will meet back up with from her past. Enough to get me a little more intrigued than I was in the first place. Red Guardian seems to be one of the most interesting aspects for me. If they don’t make him a complete joke, he looks like he could be a lot of fun. For me this really hinges on the what & when. I can't pinpoint exactly when this actually takes place. Which will mean a lot, but really takes second place to the what. Because I'm not thinking the actual what of this film, but what it will have to do with the future of the MCU? Much like Captain Marvel, a good prequel has major effects on the now & beyond. I'm wondering what that will be with this? Something here should heavily influence the now & beyond. That's actually my biggest excitement from this film. Good character intro teaser though. Not much on substance, but it’s a teaser. I will say this though, they’re really going t ok have to come out the booth to make this a Marvel film, & not just another spy film. Sony/Marvel Studios Spider-Man Split And What I'd Do

With Disney news being scarce on the way to D23, I wasn't expecting anything this significant from Marvel Studios. And well, technically this isn't about them, it's about Sony. I heard this first last night on Collider, but at that point it seemed there was a lot of hope still they could come to something. Today when I woke up though, THR has pretty much confirmed Sony is taking their ball & going home when it comes to Spider-Man. After a long negotiations the webslinger will not be returning to the MCU. Stupid move for Sony in my book, but I can’t say I didn't see it coming. With the Venom & Spiderverse success, & a little time with the borrowed super success of the MCU films, Sony might think they have it figured out now. Who knows what this means for the character. We know a third with Holland should be a given with the billion dollar run of Far From Home, imaginehow that will look if you just strip away all things MCU? No Tony, no Happy, no reference to the Avengers, or even the blip from Thanos' snap. That's a ton of major plot points. They could Spiderverse him. Would anyone want to see that though? They could kill him off early in the next & go Miles Morales proper. I feel like Sony has a lot more to think about right now than Marvel. It's easier to write out a character than to write out all the characters around a character & keep going. It seems to all come down to money in the long run. Marvel wants to bump there 5% to 50%, & that's a hell of a jump. A Sony Spider-Man has never made a billion dollars & climbing though. They topped out at 890 mil with Spider-Man 3. No argument their worst, only getting there due to the success of part 2. Take that & double it you've got 1780. With Far From Home at 1109 & still creeping, we're shy 680 million as of right now to doubling the profits of Sony's best outing with the friendly neighborhood hero. While that's a huge number still, I'm just saying maybe that 50% is crazy, but so is 5%. Negotiations were needed, but like I’ve been saying, I saw this coming. Contract was up after Far From Home. Anything past actually would have been the surprise for me. I just barely started to think a third might happen after how much money this one did make. Not that my thoughts will matter to them, but I think Sony's failing to see that big picture of their losses as of right now. Even if they had to give up more than they wanted now, they should think long run. If Sony was smart they'd have negotiated “Spiderversing” Holland in the end of a MCU third or side entry like Doctor Strange. Even if it's a 1 or 2 film contract to do so. Everyone wins. No missing MCU character, & Sony gets Holland, with story still in tact, to drop in any part of the Spiderverse they please. Anyway, curious to see what happens, but even more so to hear y'all's thoughts. Put ‘em in the comments, like, & share.

Apparently, The MCU Has All Led To This...

This trailer is hilarious! This is set up for Ant-Man & the Wasp tickets going on sale tomorrow, announcing that everything you know & every experience has all led to this. So far, every single time I have any little doubts about this movie they put out a spot I absolutely love. This caught me so off guard. I knew there was going to be a punch line, but that was great. And then it just kept giving the more that came out. Great set up for the desk. I will definitely be grabbing tickets tomorrow. How bout y'all? Put your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.

Thanos Backstory To Be Told Through A New Novel

Star Wars isn't going to be the only game anymore when it comes to cannon reading materials. Marvel's getting into the mix with a novel outlining the back story to the so far mysterious Mad Titan of Avengers: Infinity WarInside the Magic reports that this November you'll be able to get your hands on the cinematic origins of Thanos. Written by Barry Lyga, here's the official summary of Thanos: Titan Consumed:

Space. Reality. Mind. Power. Time. Soul.

Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots…

Infinity Stones.

Only beings of immense power can hope to wield these stones, but for those who are worthy, the powers of a god await.

Thanos is one such being. But he wasn’t always.

Born on a doomed world and cast out by his people for his genius, physical deviancy, and pragmatic but monstrous ideas, Thanos is determined to save the galaxy from the same fate as his homeworld… no matter how many billions have to die.

Learn the origins of the most formidable foe the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther have ever faced—a foe whom even a group of remarkable people, pulled together to fight the battles nobody else could, will fail to stop….

Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.

Thanos is here

Does this sound awesome or what? I've read almost all if the Star Wars new canon since Disney took over, & so far, I've enjoyed all of them. Since more than others, but I haven't found a bad one yet. Hopefully, this is a start for Marvel to weave in some extra background for us crazy fans, who just what more & more. It's hard to please people who want to know everything your world has to offer just in a film's time. This allows to go into things that don't fuel the progression of a story. It's like those video game side missions, that sometime wind up being cooler than your actual game.  Anyway, I can't wait to get my hands on this. What do y'all think? Will y'all be reading the history of Thanos? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Avengers: Infinity War" Tease In Marvel's 10th Anniversary "Class Photo"

Want a sample of what's to come in Avengers: Infinity War ? Check out this video of Oct 7's class photo, celebrating 10 years of Marvel Studios. That stage is a sample of how many people we're talking about when Avengers: Infinity War hits this May 4th. 79 actors & filmmakers side by side, & you can see that the bigger portion of that make-up is actors. When you see them all together, you can't help but be blown away by the size of all of this. Here's to 10 more years just as amazing as the first 10. Thanks Marvel Studios! New TV Spot For "Black Panther" Announcing Tickets Have Gone On Sale

The marketing for Marvel's upcoming Black Panther has seemed to hit overdrive as the February 16th release date keeps inching closer. I'm loving how they're doing it though. Out of all the trailers for this movie, instead of giving us brand new stuff, they build on the stuff we've already seen. To me this is the best way to do this long term marketing, because you don't give a lot if your film away in the previews. It's cool, you see some new stuff, but you don't damage anymore scenes. This movie looks amazing too. Put this new trailer with the others, & I really get a feeling this is going to be so something unique & really special in the MCU. With every trailer so far, my anticipation for this film rises. What do y'all think though? Rushing out for your tickets? Put it in the comments, like, &, share.

"Avengers: Infinity War" Trailer - 'Nuff Said

While we still don't get to see Thanos hurl a planet like the audience at D23, this trailer is kick ass. I should've recorded myself watching this one, because I've never been as excited through a trailer as I was this trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. Just seeing all these characters together got me going. Hell, was screaming by the end reveal. Stand outs? Thanos, by far Thanos. Just seeing him manhandle Iron Man & Spider-Man lets me know he's definitely going to be the threat he's been built up as. Did you see how huge he is? Then there's the new Spider-suit. We're getting closer & closer to that Iron-Spider suit from the comics. That thing was awesome! And the major stand out was it's looking like I hope you got your funny out with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 & Thor: Raganarok. This one looks like it's got some odds, & it's taking itself seriously this time around. I'm getting the vibe that we're going to see the Avengers on multiple fronts too. As opposed to the whole band getting back together. I'm sure that will happen eventually, but it really looked like they're starting in their separated places they were left off in Civil War. This looks way too big to sum up in this one film, so if I had to guess, no matter what it's named Avengers 4 will still be either dealing with this, or at least the effects of what happens here. Feige has recently said that 4 will end the Avengers story as it started from Iron Man, & set the Marvel Universe in another direction. I'm guessing that just means no after credits scenes for Avengers 4. Anyway, trailer is friggin' awesome, my only drawback is this don't come out today. Check it out, I really want to know what y'all think! Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Can Marvel Really Bring Back Together The Whole Roster? Talks With Fox?

I will not be the naysayer this time around. When talks were tossed around last time, I said there's no way Sony will come off there little piece of guaranteed box office returns, Spider-Man. Then the studio started hurting & next thing you know there's this joint deal with Marvel & Sony throwing Spidey into the MCU. Now CNBC reports that 21st Century Fox has been holding talks to sell most of the company to Disney. This won't include Fox sports & media outlets. This scaling down to sports & media gives 21st Century Fox a better way to compete in the current media environment. These talks have taken place over the last few weeks. Off right now, but seem to be in an on again, off again situation. No talk of price or how far the talks actually are, but it looks like a potential deal would include the movie studio, TV production, Star, Sky, & entertainment networks such as FX & National Geographic. That's a pretty awesome package. Why's a Disney deal in the Marvel news discussion spot though? Because I can't help but think of the REAL ramifications of this deal. This puts the whole damn Marvel catalog together at Marvel Studios. This will bring home the X-Men & the Fantastic Four, but even more so the giant who's who of villains that come along with them. That's an exciting notion, that will further destroy the odds of newcomers eventually finding a spot to come into the Marvel Universe. Start watching all the films now, because if this happens this thing is going to start growing like a wildfire. The possibilities are endless, & Marvel Studios will do them right. I can't wait to hear more on these talks. This is big! What do y'all think? Does the thought of Marvel getting their whole playground excite you? Or do you think this will be too much to manage? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
