Wreck-It Ralph Is Getting A Hyper-Reality VR Experience!!

I haven't even tried Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire yet!! Nonetheless, the Walt Disney Company & ILMxLAB is teaming up with the VOID to create a hyper-reality VR experience for Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph Breaks VR will transport you into the world of gaming & the internet in a multi-sensory adventure. It's slated for later this fall, & I can't tell whether this will be a replacement or an addition. They're talking about how excited they are to visit other Disney Franchise worlds, & that had me leaning toward addition. Either way it sounds awesome. I might have to get Star Wars out the way now just in case. I'd love this place to turn into a choose your own adventure of sorts. That'd be friggin awesome. What about y'all? Down for some VR with Ralph & Penelope? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Disneyland Gives A Glimpse Into The Opening Of "Pixar Pier"

Disneyland's California Adventure officially opened their newly revamped Pixar Pier  last weekend. I didn't figure we'd have to wait until last night for some video footage though. Finally arriving, you get to see the ribbon cutting, some Incredibles meet n greets, the Incredicoaster, & all the new places to eat, along with some carney games as well. Out of everything, I have to say, I'm still blown away by the style of the new food spots. This is probably my favorite part of all of the revamped Pixar Pier . Unfortunately,  I haven't heard great things about the actual food. Hearing the fried chicken is a total no-go hurt me a bit. Especially since you order it out of a giant happy meal shaped building. The Incredicoaster redo is pretty cool. I like the new effects, but wonder if fans think it's enough change. As of right now, I look at everything, & am not surprised there's more to come. This is a vast improvement from what was there, but all in all, it's just a fancy reskinning right now. Hopefully some new innovations occur here before I get a chance to check it out. As of right now, Pixar Pier  is a beautiful yet unfinished idea. What do y'all think though? Is there enough changes here to be new? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Pixar Pier Opens Today, With More To Come!!

Today marks the opening day of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure park. It'll feature the newly themed Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal-Around, the Lamplight Lounge, awesome new food locations, merch, & more. All that crammed into four "neighborhoods": Incredibles Park, Toy Story Boardwalk, Pixar Promenade, & Inside Out Headquarters. Yesterday however, Disney Blog wanted to make sure we knew there was even more to come. The Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be debuting in 2019. From the concept art it looks like a cross between the Dumbo ride & those swings on chain ride at most carnivals. Beautiful setup though, judging from the concept art. They also announced the 2019 addition of classic boardwalk carousel themed, Jessie's Critter Carousel . Which will take its inspiration from Jessie's wilderness friends in Woody's Round-Up  from Toy Story 2 . I'm definitely more a fan of the Emotional Whirlwind on paper. As honestly the carousel is pretty standard. Luckily, all these major additions at all the parks around the world are giving me some extra time to figure out some fundings. I'm gonna need it if I ever want to really see this stuff. Disney Parks is doing big things everywhere right now. Looking forward to these additions, as well as some looks at this new Pixar Pier, opening today. What do y'all think of these attractions to come? Emotional Whirlwind or Jessie's Critters ? Disneyland's "Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular" Has A Couple Big Surprises

Pixar Fest is upon us, & Disneyland has debuted their newest projection/firework show, Together Forever-A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. WDW News Today caught the first showing, put up this awesome video for us all to capture a little of the magic. Now at first glance this show isn't on the level of Happily Ever After  in Disneyworld, but it's a very, very close second. Beautiful moments abound during this, but the biggest highlight for me was seeing the real, "flying" Buzz Lightyear, & even more so the "flyby" from the house from Up! . Those were just amazing, & the house was totally unexpected. I also happened to notice some good ol' Disney reuse of some animation in here, seeing some scenes used in Happily Ever After. You really had to look to find them though. Other highlights in this show for me were the always friends line with Buzz & Woody, obviously the aliens with the claw, & more than any, the first projections from Coco . The little mariachi doesn't have a spot yet in the Happily Ever After , so that was really cool to check out. I wish I could see this live as video doesn't even do these shows any justice at all. To see the actual scale, & scope of these is a real breathtaking treat. If you're anywhere in the vicinity of this, make a point to go see it. You will not be disappointed, I promise you that. Until then though, what did you think of this video version of the debut? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

The "it's a small world" Attraction In Tokyo Disneyland Looks Amazing With Disney Characters

I hope they do this here at Disneyworld. This just turned it's a small world into a Disney themed Easter egg hunt. I actually like this ride, but I've never enjoyed it like I just did watching this. WDW News Today put up this awesome video of the new updates given to it's a small world in Tokyo Disneyland, & I've already watched it twice. This attraction recently reopened with a Disney*Pixar overhaul, adding over 40 characters from our favorite films. I don't want to list them all, because that's part of the fun of watching. I will mention my favorite three though: Hercules with Pegasus, Timon & Pumbaa, & Dory with friends got me because they just came out if nowhere. Great little look at these new additions. Thanks WDWNT for putting this up. Check it out, & let me know what you think of the new additions. Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Imagineers Give A Look At The Incredicoaster

This video gives a look at something I'm not sure I'd be capable of. It shows some of the major thought going into converting the coaster at Disney California Adventure into the Incredicoaster for Pixar Pier. They want the coaster to tell a story, which considering it's a high speed roller coaster, would prove quite the challenge.  From the looks of this they're pulling it off, & then some. If I was on the right coast, I'd rush out for a before & after. I can't wait to get a glimpse of the finished coaster. What do y'all think?  Are y'all excited about the changes? Disney Releases Pics Of Working Model Of Updates Pixar Pier Coming To Disney's California Adventure In Summer 2018

These are some photos released the imagineers are using to develop Pixar Pier coming to Disney's California Adventure in the summer. With new themed food, attractions, & merchandise, this new spot will introduce new neighborhoods representing Pixar. The coaster will be rebranded The Incredicoaster, after the Incredibles, complete with a Parr family home inspired loading area. Other changes include Pixar theming the games, as well as the 24 gondola on what is now Mickey's fun wheel. Which will feature different pairs of Pixar pals on each one. All during Pixar Fest! I love that this park is getting some proper theming. I've never been so I don't have much to go off, but these changes have interested me in Disney's California Adventure park for the first time in ever. I can't wait to get a look at the finished product. What do y'all think of these changes? Much needed? Or did I have to see it to know? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

More On Pixar Fest, Coming To Disneyland

Pixar Fest was one of the things announced at D23, & now Disney has released some more details about the celebration. Starting on April 13, 2018 Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular, a new "fireworks spectacular" will debut. Sounding a lot like Happily Ever After on steroids this will involve pyro, projections on the castle, the water screens of Rivers of America, it's a small world, Main Street U.S.A., & Buzz Lightyear flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Pixar Play Parade will make it's way to Disneyland with new features including characters from UP, the Pixar lamp, & characters from Inside Out. Meanwhile, Paint The Night with Toy Story, Monsters Inc., & Cars will be joined by another Pixar Story at Disney's California Adventure park later in the year. In addition, the Sunset Showcase Theater will host a Pixar Shorts Film Festival, rotating Pixar shorts throughout the fest. That's not even including yet to be announced food, beverages, merchandise, whatever else gets added to this. I might have to find a way to attend this. It's on the other coast but this sounds amazing, & who knows how long it's going to last. I hope they stream the debut of this just so I at least get to see it for sure. Wow! What do y'all think of the details to this amazing show? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Coco" Family Celebration Starts Soon At Disney Springs

I live in Florida. The bad part is I live as far away from Disneyworld as one possibly can & still live in Florida. I'm in the process of getting closer, & stuff like this is the reason why. Pixar's causing quite a frenzy of anticipation for the upcoming Coco. With a display in EPCOT's Mexico pavilion, & Plaza De La Familia at Disney's California Adventure the party's already going coast to coast. Now according to Chip & Co., Disney Springs is getting in on the action too. From October 27th to November 26 Disney Springs will be hosting the family-friendly Coco Family Celebration. From 6pm-10pm guests can enjoy Coco themed décor, music, & food, with face painting & activities for kids Fridays-Sundays. For a limited time get some vanilla flan at Spring's Street Tacos Food Truck, also joining the fray. I wouldn't just make a day of this, I'd probably make a week out of it. Tacos & mariachi music? Count me in. How bout y'all? Who's goin to attend this Coco Family Celebration, & who would if they could?

Disneyland's Cars Have Their "Carstumes" For Halloween

This made me smile. It's Halloween in Car's Land & the stars of Cars have donned their "Carstumes". The Disney characters in their costumes were the coolest thing for me when we went to the Not-So-Scary Halloween party last year at WDW Magic Kingdom. These guys are going to be posted up at Disney's California Adventure. I already want a Car's Land on my coast, this extra little Halloween setup just makes me want it even more. So since it's Halloween we have to judge a contest for these two. I love me some superheroes, but my vote is going to have to go to Mater's "Dracarla". What do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival" Have Announced It's New Shorts

After it's refurbishment on June 19th EPCOT's Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival will be reopening with some changes. Originally playing with Get A Horse, La Luna & For the Birds will be replaced. All of Pixar's shorts are always instant classics, so I'm guessing this was a hard pick. According to Chip & Co. that pick has been made though. They will be replaced with Feast & Piper, two very good picks. I love both of these, even ifI personally feel like this Film Festival is a waste of EPCOT's theater. Once known for the 3D Captain EO starring the late Michael Jackson & the 4D Honey We Shrunk the Audience this was one my most cherished spots in EPCOT. I luckily got to see one of the last of the special presentations of Captain EO during it's run last year. Here's a look at the replacement shorts below. Let us know what you think of the switch down below, as well as what you think of this versus it's old attractions as I'm very curious to see what others think of this.

"The Music of Pixar Live" Coming to Hollywood Studios

Diskingdom.com reported that Disney has announced "The Music of Pixar Live!: A Symphony of Characters". This show will happen in Hollywood Studios starting May 26. It will be 3 times a night following the daytime performances of  "Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage". It will feature a live symphony playing your favorite songs & score segments from every Pixar movie from "Toy Story" to "Cars 3". They will also be accompanied by appearances from various Pixar characters. Sound exciting? I'm pumped. What do you hope this symphonic event includes? Characters? Songs? Let us know in the comments...
