Tom Holland Seen On Set Of Sony's "Venom"

I can't tell you this means Venom takes place in the official MCU, but according to Jon Schnepp of Collider, the MCU's Spider-Man will be in Sony's upcoming Venom with Tom Hardy. Tom Holland has been seen on set for couple days, & is apparently in the film. This leads to speculation that there could be some set up in this upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. That would be awesome, but just the fact that Spidey is in Venom makes my day. I had a couple of scenarios in my head that could work without the web-slinger, but let's be honest, you can't do Venom without Spider-Man. These are probably the best nemisies in comic books period. It would've been like M&Ms without the candy shell, it would totally melt in your hand. I hope this is even bigger than it seems in the long run. I'm definitely going to be paying it some attention. Women Of Wakanda Are Totally B@D@SS!!

These past two spots for Marvel's upcoming Black Panther showcase the women of Wakanda. As much as that sounds like a new wrestling organization, it's the women Black Panther keeps around him as bodyguards. These really get into what they are beyond that. Seeing them fight though, you'd almost want to take your chances with the Panther. The closer this film gets the more excited I find myself getting for it. It's already broke Marvel records for presales. I'm ready to see if Marvel can do it with another obscure character. I still can't get over the fact we live in a world where we can watch Captain America, Thor, & Iron Man. Much less Ant-man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, & now, Black Panther. If you'd have said this would happen to me as a kid, I'd say you were crazy & that no one in their right mind would green light a bunch of unknown characters. Here we are though, virtually everyone is a comic nerd like myself now, & we are all getting treated to these amazing stories that have been fine tuned over years. I digress though, this is about these badass women of Wakanda. I can't wait to see them in action. I can't help but think they will provide us with some of the best action throughout the film for that matter. What do y'all think though? Got your tickets yet? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Solo "Black Widow" Just Took A Small Step Forward

Could this actually, finally be happening? This is something I thought we'd get way before we got a Guardians of the Galaxy or an Ant-man, but it still hasn't happened yet. According to Variety though, they have sources that the ball might have finally started rolling. No green light or word from Marvel itself, but word is they have attached a writer to the project in the form of Jac Schaeffer. Not much to judge her by, Anne Hathaway seems impressed though, attaching herself to 2 of her upcoming projects. So this seems like a name we will know. Now we can only judge her for Olaf's Frozen Adventure. Which I thought was a great animated short, but nothing I could watch & say, yup she needs to write Black Widow. Anyway, I think this news is awesome, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it happening anytime soon. What do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

New TV Spot For "Black Panther" Announcing Tickets Have Gone On Sale

The marketing for Marvel's upcoming Black Panther has seemed to hit overdrive as the February 16th release date keeps inching closer. I'm loving how they're doing it though. Out of all the trailers for this movie, instead of giving us brand new stuff, they build on the stuff we've already seen. To me this is the best way to do this long term marketing, because you don't give a lot if your film away in the previews. It's cool, you see some new stuff, but you don't damage anymore scenes. This movie looks amazing too. Put this new trailer with the others, & I really get a feeling this is going to be so something unique & really special in the MCU. With every trailer so far, my anticipation for this film rises. What do y'all think though? Rushing out for your tickets? Put it in the comments, like, &, share.

"Black Panther" Featurette & Kendrick Lamar To Produce Soundtrack

Marvel released this featurette last night giving a little background on Black Panther. Not so much the character himself, but more of a little history on his creation by Lee & Kirby. You can tell Stan is pretty excited about this one when he talks about it. They're really staying vague on any real details, leaving me to believe we're going to get an awesome origin story out of this one. This also came with me hearing from Collided that Kendrick Lamar will be working with Anthony Tiffith in producing Black Panther: The Album, Marvel's first all original album. Not sure what to think there. Sounds like they're going to go for a current soundtrack, which in all honesty could be a little jarring for the film in my opinion. Current music, a lot of the times, can be distracting, it has worked before though. What do y'all think? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Happy Birthday Stan "The Man" Lee!!

95 years old!! That's one heck of a milestone. I can't begin to think of all the things this guy has been responsible for in just my life. I've been reading Marvel comics pretty much since I could read. So I have to say the machine Stan "the man" Lee put into motion has had a major effects on me throughout the years. The Avengers, The X-Men, The Defenders? These characters & more have had a great influence on the person I am today. Thanks for everything you've done Mr. Lee, & I wish to you another 95 years!! Excelsior!!

X-Men & Fantastic Four Coming Back Home?!? YES, They Are!! Confirmation Update 12/14

UPDATE 12/24: It's official the 21st Century Fox Deal has gone through. More importantly though, according to the same show this came from in the first place, The John Campea Show, Bob Iger has confirmed not only will X-Men & Fantastic Four be joining the MCU, but Deadpool, the merc with the mouth, will remain rated R. This is awesome. Now what? How do we put them in? Fantastic Four doesn't reach to much, but how do you explain mutants in a world where there has been no mention at all? Do we reboot everything we've already seen? Ooh, what if it's a psychic mind wipe thing? Where something happened, & that's why no one knows about mutants? They could do anything here. I cant wait to see where this goes. Put your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.

John Campea just made a thrilling point. While we're all waiting for the results to the ongoing talks between 21st Century Fox & Disney over many television & movie assets, I didn't even think of this. Those assets will be selling to someone, & when they sell, the rights to Marvel properties won't go with that. According to his understanding of the licensing whether Disney or anyone else buys those, X-Men & Fantastic Four are coming home to Marvel. In fact, the only way to prevent this, is if Fox decides they don't want to sell at all. That's not how it's looking though. So hear we go, the heavy hitters are coming home. This is like when Jordan came out of retirement. Which leads to the elephant in the room. Which Jordan return do we get, 3 more rings or the other guy? Has the damage been done to these properties, or can Marvel Studios save them? It's possible. I think the X-Men has a bigger uphill battle than Fantastic Four. Mainly, since some of those are really good, almost perfect. Putting them up against higher standards than they'll have with Fantastic Four. Fantastic Four seems to be easier to explain & add into the Marvel universe as is, than a whole race of mutants will be as well. That's just my opinion though, & being an avid comic book reader, I can't wait to see how this pans out. What do y'all think? Are y'all excited for this homecoming? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Frank Castle Will Be Returning For A Second Season

Marvel's The Punisher on Netflix has probably wound up being my favorite Netflix show so far. Not just my favorite Netflix/Marvel show, but my favorite Netflix show period. They just got every part of this one so right. In fact, usually I'd throw away some episodes so far on almost every one of these Netflix/Marvel seasons. This one had me at every episode. So it's needless to say I got pretty excited when Netflix just announced season 2. With Disney trying their handf at a streaming service soon these show's futures are really in the air. I'm really glad they're going to get a second run. Hopefully, they'll keep with the story they've started & just pick up where they left off. Maybe see the villain I don't want to spoil team up with Kingpin for his revenge even?!? One can only hope... What do y'all think of The Punisher getting a second run? Check out this featurette  on the first season, & put it in the comments, like, & share.

International Trailer For "Black Panther" Showcases Wakandan Technology

This new international spot for Marvel' s upcoming Black Panther shows some new shots involving Wakanda & the nation's technology. Along with some details on the new suit, this is really the stuff that excites me about Black Panther. I love all the alien & advanced tech Wakanda is known for, or not known as they allow no outsiders. I wish I knew what the voiceover was saying, this has been my favorite look at this film so far. Like I said though, when it comes to Black Panther, my favorite aspect is Wakanda & it's tech. This is the first time I noticed Klaw use his new arm as well. It might have been in other previews, but I didn't remember seeing it when it popped up here. He's a villain of greed, which usually makes for a very believable antagonist usually. I'm still a little thrown off by Michael B Jordan though. I feel like I keep going back & forth with every preview on whether he's going to work. I like him, when he's on, he's on. I just can't get a grip from the trailers so far if he's on or off this time around. What did y'all think of thus international trailer though? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Save The Date For Jessica Jones

Here's a nice little release date teaser for the second season of Marvel's Jessica Jones coming to Netflix. Doesn't show much in the way of telling you where we're going this season, but March 8 will be the day Jessica Jones gets back to sexin', drinkin', whoopin' ass, & dealing with more baggage than any superhero to date. Hopefully we can figure out something important for her to do as well this time. Some of the last season seemed to drag by. I mean, I didn't hate the first season, but it definitely was my least favorite of the Defenders solo endeavors. To me this shows saving grace was the Purple Man, Killgrave. He stole every scene he was in, & in my opinion the show suffered when he was not present. I think these get better as they find their stride though, so I'm hoping this season has a major upswing. Coming off the almost perfect run of The Punisher, it's gonna need it. What do y'all think though? Great little put-together for a release date announcement. I can't wait to get a trailer that ties some of these images together. Will you return to Alias Investigations with Jessica Jones this time? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Avengers: Infinity War" Trailer - 'Nuff Said

While we still don't get to see Thanos hurl a planet like the audience at D23, this trailer is kick ass. I should've recorded myself watching this one, because I've never been as excited through a trailer as I was this trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. Just seeing all these characters together got me going. Hell, was screaming by the end reveal. Stand outs? Thanos, by far Thanos. Just seeing him manhandle Iron Man & Spider-Man lets me know he's definitely going to be the threat he's been built up as. Did you see how huge he is? Then there's the new Spider-suit. We're getting closer & closer to that Iron-Spider suit from the comics. That thing was awesome! And the major stand out was it's looking like I hope you got your funny out with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 & Thor: Raganarok. This one looks like it's got some odds, & it's taking itself seriously this time around. I'm getting the vibe that we're going to see the Avengers on multiple fronts too. As opposed to the whole band getting back together. I'm sure that will happen eventually, but it really looked like they're starting in their separated places they were left off in Civil War. This looks way too big to sum up in this one film, so if I had to guess, no matter what it's named Avengers 4 will still be either dealing with this, or at least the effects of what happens here. Feige has recently said that 4 will end the Avengers story as it started from Iron Man, & set the Marvel Universe in another direction. I'm guessing that just means no after credits scenes for Avengers 4. Anyway, trailer is friggin' awesome, my only drawback is this don't come out today. Check it out, I really want to know what y'all think! Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Jude Law For Mar-Vell In "Captain Marvel"?!?

When they started talking about Captain Marvel I figured they were going to go with the Carol Danvers version of the character. Which they confirmed casting Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. However, I kept thinking you can't really do her story without Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel. This alien of the Kree race was my Captain Marvel. Though I say mine loosely, I only read a little Captain Marvel, he also popped up in a lot of titles I read at the back then. Since the mantle has been passed on to Carol I haven't followed Captain Marvel  that much at all though, save crossovers. She's passed the original in popularity, but this isn't about her. This is about the casting of Mar-Vell in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. Collider has Jude Law in final talks, while other sites has labeled this a thing now, to play the original Captain, Mar-Vell. Now I've been totally on board with every casting choice Marvel has made so far. This time though, I can't say they made a bad decision, I love Jude Law. I will say I have my concerns however. As awesome an actor as Jude Law is, I don't really see him as a great choice for Mar-Vell, a character who looks like Matthew McConaughey on steroids. I guess all in all that's just the visual side of it. A good performance could nullify that. I guess that's why I'm going back & forth on this, & I'm guessing by the time we see it, I'll be all in anyway. That's where I'm at though, not a great decision, not a bad decision, just maybe a questionable decision for now. What do y'all think about this choice? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 Trailer - More Space, And Were Those Kree?

Yup, I'm pretty sure those were Kree. Still tying to pump up excitement for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D season 5, this new trailer dropped, & with some pretty visuals, cryptically tells us nothing really. I did however ket me know I was wrong, we're probably not going to get Agents of S.W.O.R.D.. Instead, it looks like the team is held captive in space by some sort of cult? I did get that they have to escape this space station, prison, day spa, whatever it is. Anyway, we should get some answers to what looks like it could be an action packed space romp December 1st with a two hour premier. I'm actualky hoping this puts some consistency this show being good. It ended on a real high note with me, & trailer definitely does it justice. Hope the story can keep up, the idol worship of Coulson makes me want a little more explanation.  What did y'all think though?  Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Marvel Gives A Sneak Peek At Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Five's First Episode

I have a love, hate, love relationship with Marvel's Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I really dug the lead-in to Captain America: Winter Soldier & I liked the first intro into the race of Inhumans. I hated where it led with HIVE. Thought Ghost Rider should've had his own thing, it felt forced into S.H.I.E.L.D.. LMD bored the hell out of me, but then led into Agents of HYDRA, which I really got into. In fact, that restored my faith in the show. That pretty much led us to where we are now... stranded in space as of the last episode. (Does this mean Agents of S.W.O.R.D. now?) In this sneak peek, it's definitely safe to assume we are still there, as there's a pretty spaceship-looking scenery their running through. Oh yeah, & there's the crazy looking, I don't even know what in the blue hell that is, alien chasing them through said scenery. Anyway, I'm intrigued. Wondering what that alien is to tell you the truth. Anyway, anyone else held on long enough to still have some interest in this season? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Marvel No Longer Will Produce Shows For Netflix

Ever since Disney has announced its own streaming service coming sometime in 2019 & pulling its content off of Netflix I've been wondering what did that mean for the Netflix/Marvel universe? While we still don't know the future for Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, & the Punisher, according to Inside the Magic any future Marvel shows will go straight to the new Disney streaming service. With Disney really seeming to be aiming for Netflix, I definitely wouldn't rule out the Netflix/Marvel shows being moved over to this new streaming service eventually as well. Only the future will tell. I must say though, this is exciting. If they can keep the quality up at least. There's a part of me that can't help but think the Netflix/Marvel shows anywhere but on Netflix might lose a some of their grittiness. What do y'all think of this though? The Punisher on Nov 17th will be the last Netflix addition even if they get to keep their roster intact. Put your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.

Memorial For Thor's Hammer Just Became My Favorite "Thor: Ragnarok" Trailer

This pretty much conveys the humor that is displayed throughout Thor: Ragnarok. I've told many while I'm not going to join in & say this is Marvel's best film, I have to say you will be hard-pressed to find a Marvel film that is this enjoyable to watch. I've gave my first thoughts on video & then wrote a more thought out review, but it's even easier to say, this video conveys the spirit of this movie. If you want to know the tone of this film, the conversation with the rock guy pretty much sums it up. While still serving some shock here & there, this movie is all about the funny. I digress though, this is about Mjolnir's proper sendoff. I must say, you will never see a better memorial for a hammer than this.  Mjolnir you will always have a place in our hearts. Leave your respects, put 'em in the comments, like, & share.

Can Marvel Really Bring Back Together The Whole Roster? Talks With Fox?

I will not be the naysayer this time around. When talks were tossed around last time, I said there's no way Sony will come off there little piece of guaranteed box office returns, Spider-Man. Then the studio started hurting & next thing you know there's this joint deal with Marvel & Sony throwing Spidey into the MCU. Now CNBC reports that 21st Century Fox has been holding talks to sell most of the company to Disney. This won't include Fox sports & media outlets. This scaling down to sports & media gives 21st Century Fox a better way to compete in the current media environment. These talks have taken place over the last few weeks. Off right now, but seem to be in an on again, off again situation. No talk of price or how far the talks actually are, but it looks like a potential deal would include the movie studio, TV production, Star, Sky, & entertainment networks such as FX & National Geographic. That's a pretty awesome package. Why's a Disney deal in the Marvel news discussion spot though? Because I can't help but think of the REAL ramifications of this deal. This puts the whole damn Marvel catalog together at Marvel Studios. This will bring home the X-Men & the Fantastic Four, but even more so the giant who's who of villains that come along with them. That's an exciting notion, that will further destroy the odds of newcomers eventually finding a spot to come into the Marvel Universe. Start watching all the films now, because if this happens this thing is going to start growing like a wildfire. The possibilities are endless, & Marvel Studios will do them right. I can't wait to hear more on these talks. This is big! What do y'all think? Does the thought of Marvel getting their whole playground excite you? Or do you think this will be too much to manage? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Avengers: Infinity War Finds Lead Character In.... Thanos?

With May's Avengers: Infinity War seeming to be getting here faster as it's gets closer, actual plot details for what to expect have been slim. Now we might have more of a clear picture as to where this is going. According to Collider, co-director Anthony Russo has now revealed that not only will Thanos (Josh Brolin) himself act like the "lead" of this film, but the story will also have the tone of a heist film with him hunting down the Infinity Stones. I heard this yesterday right after my first thoughts on Thor: Ragnarok , see that here. So, I was already pretty pumped. After hearing this though? I'm now more excited about this than I've been for any Marvel movie save The Avengers. First, I love heist movies. They are probably one of my favorite genres of movie. It's entertaining to see people pull off the impossible. More so, wouldn't it be awesome to watch an evil, super-powered Ocean's 11? Now second, & not really it should be first, Marvel has gave us nothing really when it comes to Thanos. We know all the Avengers & they can throw us more, but it just makes sense for this film to focus on Thanos, the unknown. They've been selling him to us as the villain of all villains. It pleases me to no end that it's sounding like now they're going to take the time to back up that sell. What do y'all think though? Heist film? Thanos lead? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
