New Iron Fist Trailer Gives Danny A Worthy Opponent

I loved this new trailer for Netflix's second season of Marvel's Iron Fist. I was one of the very few big fans of the first season, but my only drawback was that no one seemed to stand a chance when it really came down to it. Much like Luke Cage's Bushmaster, this season will feature more of an equal to Danny Rand in the form of the man he previously beat to take the mantle of Iron Fist in the first place. If they treat this the same as season 2 of Luke Cage  we're in for one heckuvan awesome season. This trailer made me think that's the formula they're going for. Sept. 7th will find Danny getting roadblocked by this new foe while trying to take up Daredevil's job of protecting the city after the events of Defenders . After this trailer? I'm all in & then some. What about y'all? Are y'all feelin' this trailer as much as I am? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Nick Fury & Maria Hill To Join "Spider-Man: Far From Home"

A lot of dust is returning to the Marvel universe for Spider-Man: Far From Home . Spider-Man will not be the only victim of Thanos's snap to appear in the sequel to the Sony/Marvel collaboration Spider-Man: Homecoming . He will be joined by Samuel L Jackson & Cobie Smulders' Nick Fury & Maria Hill, Agents of SHIELD. I saw this on Vulture earlier, & thought, "that's kinda out of left field." Then I thought about how big the connection between Spider-Man & Nick Fury was in Marvel's Ultimate Universe. He pretty much took the role of MCU Tony Stark in those Bendis fueled stories. There was some great back & forth between those two, that will totally shine on the big screen. I've actually gotten more & more excited about this the more I thought about it. Between this & Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, I'm getting pretty excited for July 5th. Love to know what y'all think though. Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Looks Like I'm A Little Late To The First Actual Trailer For "Iron Fist" Season 2

I heard a lot of negative feedback for the first season of Marvel's Iron Fist  on Netflix. Personally, I loved it. Out of the first seasons of each show, I thought it came in second, right under DaredevilSo, needless to say I was really excited when I saw the date announcement a couple weeks ago. Then I clicked it. Honestly, I would've been more happy with just a logo & a date. The video we got might've worked if it was for season 1, but it's not. This video up top though is more of a teaser trailer. Personally, I would've used this to announce the date. Edit it down of course, but this one built on season 1 without spoiling it. Hinting at what we can probably expect from Season 2. Leaving aside spoilers, on top of protecting the city, I'm guessing we're picking up on the search for KunLun. The hidden which Danny seems have some memories resurfacing. The video shows the classic Iron Fist mask from the comics, & what looks like a pretty brutal tournament. If I had to guess this was probably for the mantle of Iron Fist. Even though the mask looked a little cheesy, this was an awesome teaser. I can't wait until September 7th. If it's on the same level as Punisher  & especially Luke Cage  season 2, we're gonna be in for a real treat. Loved this, even if I did see it 3 days late. What did y'all think? Are y'all in for Iron Fist  season 2? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Black Widow" Solo Film Now Has A Director

Collider announced Cate Shortland beat out "approximately 75" other directors trying to nab the standalone Black Widow film. Featuring Scarlett Johansson leather clad, spy slash only non-powered Avenger out of 2. Now, nothing else is known about this film at all. Not even a date, but Collider thinks it a safe bet for 2020. It's also speculated it will be a prequel, exploring  Widow's past. This is where I wanted to drop in my own two cents. The prequel idea would be cool, but I'm hoping they'll approach it from a past, off screen past, & now kinda thing. Where something post Avengers, follows through all of Avengers as we know offscreen, then affects wherever she is during this film we're speaking of now. That would be my perfect Black Widow  film. Knowing Marvel Studios, it will at least live up to that, or completely blow it away. Anyway, anyone else have any ideas how to make a relevant Black Widow film? Introducing Ant-onio Banderas! New "Ant-Man & The Wasp TV Spot

I feel so bad for laughing at this new TV spot for Ant-Man & the Wasp . Ant-thony's death in the first one was a very emotional moment. I'm guessing we're not taking the ant's lives that seriously this time around. That's okay too. This was friggin hilarious. I've heard good & great things from the premiere so far. I'm getting really excited for this one. The trailers so far have been way more hit than miss. This one was no exception. What do y'all think? Funny, or to soon to mock ant deaths still? Tom Holland Gets Script For New Spider-Man Film, Only Leaks Title

Tom Holland has been known to let some things slip when it comes to movie spoilers. So when I saw on Instagram that he'd recieved the script for the sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming , I figured I'd wait over the weekend to see of we got more than the title. Alas, we did not. We do now know it's titled Spider-Man: Far From Home though. Probably a nod to reports already telling us this film will take Spidey abroad, but Feige went on to announce like the first, this one has multiple meanings. Which immediately makes me remember that this will be one of the first films chronologically to deal with the fallout of Avengers 4 . Whatever it will be called. Can't believe we got this title before that one. It really must be something special. John Campea also mentioned the what I thought was just the inevitable new costume the other day. Thinking about what he said with the name of the film. It seems a little more of a big deal. He mentioned this suit as a coming of manhood to an extent. Also a form of "far from home". The name's as good as Homecoming was. In which, it's a name. As much as I loved the first movie, that title just never really stuck for me. This one's kinda the same. It's not a bad name, but it doesn't just grab me by title alone either. Movie's still probably going to be great again. I'll just probably once again forget the surname, & go with Spider-Man 2. Or something to that extent. That's me, what do y'all think though? Put it in the comments, like & share.

Two Big Revelations From "Ant-Man & The Wasp" Featurette

Who Is The Wasp?  is the newest featurette for Marvel's upcoming sequel, Ant-Man & the Wasp. most of it just deals with reintroducing everyone to Hope, her mother Janet, & the Wasp mantle they'll share. However, I took two major reveals out of this video. One was Scott saying he saw Janet while in the Quantum Realm. We had been hearing he gets a signal from her, but not this. He actually sees a trapped in the Quantum Realm Janet, & she looks pretty mobile still on top of that. The other thing was Feige's mention of how important these characters will be to Avengers 4 . Which let's me know there will be a lot riding on this films end credits. Personally, I'm convinced we haven't seen the end of characters turning to dust. Giving Scott some extra stakes as we round the corner to settle the effects of Avengers: Infinity War . Anyway, those are the biggest things I got out of this featurette. Those, & the reminder that with Wasp's addition, we now have all the original Avengers on screen. Friggin awesome. What do y'all think of these couple of revelations though? Pumped for Ant-Man & the Wasp? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Apparently, The MCU Has All Led To This...

This trailer is hilarious! This is set up for Ant-Man & the Wasp tickets going on sale tomorrow, announcing that everything you know & every experience has all led to this. So far, every single time I have any little doubts about this movie they put out a spot I absolutely love. This caught me so off guard. I knew there was going to be a punch line, but that was great. And then it just kept giving the more that came out. Great set up for the desk. I will definitely be grabbing tickets tomorrow. How bout y'all? Put your thoughts in the comments, like, & share.

New Trailer For "Luke Cage" Looks Very Promising

June 22nd is now one of the most anticipated dates on my calendar. This new trailer for Luke Cage  season 2 is awesome! I loved the first season's first half. After Cottonmouth's demise however, it quickly fell apart. This one looks like it might fix that downfall by putting Mariah in the crosshairs of new baddie, Bushmaster. Who looks like he's gonna be friggin awesome by the way. Putting Mariah in his line looks like it's gonna be a nice way to curb her story. It puts her under Cage's reluctant protection, effectively switching the narrative to this new, invincible, bullets bounce off him, magic man. This trailer actually looks like this season could top Daredevil , which for me has been the high point for Netflix's Marvel shows. Can't wait though, what do y'all think of this new trailer? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"Ant-Man & The Wasp" Delivers Some Interesting Character Posters

These character posters just got released for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man & the Wasp & I immediately noticed a couple things. The first was Wasp's costume. I may just be somewhat colorblind, but this is the first I've noticed her costume is blue. I even went back & rewatched the trailers. It reads way darker in those. Not that I care either way, just couldn't believe how much it popped on the poster. Two more of these posters caught my eye as well, with the rest basically just being standard. One was the inclusion of Lawrence Fishburne. I don't know if that's just because he's Lawrence Fishburne, or if it means that we'll be seeing more Goliath than I initially thought. I've loved Fishburne since he was Larry. So, giving him more screen time is a win for me. Always ready to add more heroes or villains to the Marvel universe as well. The second, & possibly main thing I noticed though, was how pissed off Michelle Pfeiffer looks. She's been trapped in the Quantum Realm for awhile. So I wouldn't expect her to he thrilled, but that's some determined anger on her face. That could mean nothing, but I'm all the sudden not the most trusting when it comes to this reunion. That's just me though. Anyone else have thoughts on these? Or thoughts on my insights? Put em in the comments, like, & share.

Mixed Feelings On The TV Spots For "Ant-Man & The Wasp

The past week has brought us a couple new TV spots for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man & the Wasp . The first of which I was not into at all. The list joke was okay until the end. Definitely not something I'd use for a trailer, & the "save the world" part seemed to drag on a corny joke. A corny joke that would have been a little improved if cut short, ending at the 2A part. This had me a little worried. I loved the first film & liked the trailers for the sequel up to this point. The funny in this film highly matters though, so it needs to be on point. So when we got this next TV spot over the weekend, the "Wassup?" joke in the beginning kept my concerns going. That joke was dated when Scary Movie 2 used it. Does anybody really remember those guys anymore. They give the right response. Just will anybody get it now? I was put right back on though, with the "I eat people" line. That actually made me laugh out loud. All in all I'm thinking this one is really going to be hit & miss with the jokes. It looks like they're amping up the action this time around though. We'll see if that can balance everything out. For that matter we're just talking trailers. I've seen bad films with good trailers & vice versa. I'm honestly just looking forward to a little getaway from the effects of Infinity War , before we have to get psychologically ready for what comes next. Anyway, mixed feels on the TV spots. Concerns, but nothing to turn me away at all. Or really even get me too worried right now, for that matter. What are y'all's thoughts? Put em in the comments, like, & share.

Synopsis For The Fourth "Avengers" Is Causing Mass Speculation

The first description of the untitled Avengers 4 has been spotted in the latest issue of License Global. The new May issue included this vague synopsis for the film: “A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.” Afterwards, the internet has gone crazy with speculation. Even mentioning the illuminati, which would have to be reinvented, a handful a characters are absent from that usual lineup. I'm still leaning towards Secret Wars. That sounds like the best place to take it coming off Infinity War , but only they know for sure. This synopsis does seem to elude to a multiverse fueled film, with it's talk of reality. If that's the case, literally anything can happen. The more I think about it, I'd love to see that. Different versions of what we have now trying to get back right sounds awesome. Anyway, does this pique anyone else's curiosity? Any thoughts as to what's next? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Jake Gyllenhaal Joins "Spider-Man Homecoming" Sequel (UPDATE)

UPDATE: THR reports the character Gyllenhaal will play is none other than Mysterio. With two of my favorite childhood movies being FX  & FX2 , adding the villain known for special effects use is right up my alley. This is even more exciting than the addition of Gyllenhaal himself. Sinister 6 might finally see the light after all.

Jake Gyllenhaal is finally about to dive into the comic-book universe. Variety reports the Oscar-nominated actor is set to join the sequel to Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s currently unknown who he's playing, but sources say he would be the new villain. If so he'll join Michael Keaton, who will be returning to reprise his role of Vulture. Tom Holland is returning to play Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Marisa Tomei also coming back for the sequel. Jon Watts is back as director with Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley taking on the script. I absolutely loved Spider-Man Homecoming . Not only is everyone coming back a plus, but this addition is great. Gyllenhaal has been one of my favorite actors since Donnie Darko. I can't wait to see whose shoes he'll be filling. Let the internet begin. His consistency is off the charts though. So I'm sure whatever it is, it will be rememberable. Any thoughts on this addition? Put 'em in the comments, like, & share.

Marvel's "Eternals" Are Coming

In a THR report via Collider, Matthew and Ryan Firpo, whose spec script Ruin was featured at the top of the 2017 Black List, has been hired by Marvel to adapt The Eternals. The story beginning millions of years ago when Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered and near immortal beings the Eternals, and their monstrous counterparts the Deviants. This was originally Jack Kirby's invention, which I'm only vaguely familiar with. It was retold later by Neil Gaiman. That happens to be the iteration I own in Graphic form. It's an amazing story, dig into the roots of the whole Marvel universe. That said, this is gonna be hard to pull off. If Guardians of the Galaxy was a hard sell, this is way more out there than that. If anything was going to try to raise the stakes higher than Infinity War  or what's to come next, Eternals  definitely raises the bar. I can't wait to see how this one all unfolds. Writers are a big first step. What do y'all think? Familiar with Eternals ? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Where Was "Ant-Man & The Wasp"? New Trailer Debuts

One of the really big or small questions, depending how you look at it, during Avengers: Infinty War was, where was Ant-Man during all the chaos. Short answer is house arrest, but in the first video to announce the trailer the Avengers cast had a little fun with that question. Underneath that video is the new trailer that just dropped today. I gotta say this trailer felt refreshing after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. After all that intensity this feels like relaxing after a hard day's work, & that's crazy to say considering this trailer looks like it totally amped up the action from the first outing. They also look like they heard the memo that we all want more Michael Pena. The real standout to me though, is this looks like Wasp might steal the whole show. Ant-Man might wind up her comic relief. Even though do seem to be getting a lot of giant Ant-Man, this trailer seems to be all her. We also get to see more of Ghost though. Our antagonist this time around. From what I do know, this is a pretty intriguing character. Mostly dealing in industrial espionage, this film fits the character perfectly. I really love how they handle the phasing effect. I thought the first film was amazing. They were going for a perfect blend of comedy with superhero, & they completely nailed it. Judging from this trailer they're about to do it again. Loving the Goliath cameo!! Anyway, great trailer, that's the new poster beneath it. I think it even gives more of a Wasp takes front vibe too, but we'll just have to see. I'll be there July 6th. Will y'all? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

New Trailer For Marvel's "Luke Cage" On Netflix

June 22nd we've got another round of Luke Cage  coming to Netflix, & I'm not sure what to think. The first half of season 1 was some of the best stuff Netflix has made as a studio. Then they killed off the best character. This has left us with a portion of plot rolling into season 2 that I could care less about. On the other hand, seeing this trailer, Bushmaster looks like a formidable foe. I don't know anything about the character. From the trailer, I'm getting a voodoo vibe. Always makes for a good antagonist. It also looks like we're taking one more step towards "Heros for Hire". That's one of the things I've been looking forward to since the addition of Misty & the Iron Fist. So all in all, this trailer has left me kinda just wondering. There's what I knew would be the inevitable already disappointing leftovers from the end of season 1. However, everything new looks really good. I'll say this, I'm more excited for this now than I was. What do y'all think? Amped up for season 2? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Check Out "The Marvel Bunch" While I Work On My "Avengers: Infinity War" Review

I watched this last night right before I went to the theater to see Avengers: Infinity War, & throughout the whole film I had this stuck in my head. The cast of Avengers had some fun on The Tonight Show,  & came up with this absolute gem. I don't know how many times I giggled throughout this movie thinking about this. Anyway, have fun, I'm gonna go work on my first NO SPOILER thoughts of the film. #ThanosDemandsYourSilence

Marvel Studios Talks Eternals, Black Panther 2, & The Fox Deal

With Avengers: Infinity War about to kick off the road to the end of "Phase 3", Marvel Studios has been pretty tight lipped on anything that's coming next for "Phase 4". Feige had mentioned the next phase will begin with the Spiderman  sequel & Guardians of the Galaxy 3 , but that's about all. However, last night Collider dropped all kinds of Marvel Studios news, starting with Marvels absence from Hall H this year at Comic Con in San Diego. It looks like this is mainly because they don't have anything new to announce yet. Still not wanting to release the name of Avengers 4, it's looking to me like they don't want to fully commit yet. Probably because there's a lot on the table. Some of which probably being the looming Fox deal. Even though Feige told the Playlist it would take years, & definitely not affect the five already announced films. Which, I'll give him those five. They'll play us out through next year. That's the year this deal is supposed to go through though. At the halfway point of that year those Fox owned characters will most likely be back with Marvel. I'm thinking years is right, but only about two. Until that happens though, Feige did state that Eternals  as well as Nova  are a couple of characters in immediate consideration for Phase 4 in an interview with Comicbook.com. This is an interesting choice for me. Nova  is a given due to his ties to Guardians  & the Nova Corps.. Eternals is the one that surprises me. That's a tricky one for anyone who knows the lore of Celestial experiments on Earth. That's gonna be a hard theater sell, but so was Guardians of the Galaxy, & it's still one of my favorites. I don't know to much about the Eternals except the basics. I'm more familiar with Neil Gaiman's "reboot" than I am with the original Kirby material. It's a lot to take in, I remember that. The last piece of news comes in the form of director Ryan Coogler & Black Panther 2 . In an interview with Collider, Kevin Feige stated that they want Ryan to come back, & they're working on it right now. He's say it will depend on when Ryan wants to, but he's pretty sure he has an idea of when. He reiterates that there will be no official line up announcements until after Avengers 4 . So the awesome direction of Black Panther  will continue in it's sequel. More so however, it looks like even the two films they had mentioned to kick off phase 4 could also be in the air now. After those statements phase 4 is all the sudden total mystery. I can't wait to see where all this goes. I actually like the new secrecy, as opposed to here's everything we're doing for the next two or three years. I also can't help but keep thinking how much easier this will be to throw those Fox properties last minute into, than an already laid out plan. So there you go, a little news, & a lot of speculation. What do y'all think on all these developments? What are y'all anticipating for Phase 4? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

"X-Men: Dark Phoenix" The End For Marvel At Fox?

It sounds like Fox & Disney are starting to plan for the inevitable when it comes to the Marvel universe. In a report via Collider by Bryan Andrew at comicgenre.com, apparently Xmen: Dark Phoenix will be the last Marvel entry for Fox. He had attended a speaking engagement with some high-level Fox production crew members discussing the future of Fox's Marvel characters. In the info gathered he stated, "X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be the last proper Fox Marvel movie, presumably also the last in that continuity. The crew behind the camera has been thanked for their work but their services will not be needed any longer, as everything is moving to Disney. Apparently, the X-Men being integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a done deal, and merely awaiting the approval of the merger. Kevin Feige is “hoovering up” all of the Fox-Marvel characters, and is already planning for them all to go into Phase 4. This includes the X-Men, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four. In what capacity and with what actors was not discussed." If this is really how it went down, there you go. The gears have been put in motion. The mutants & the first family are coming home. The lineup for Phase 4 is now through the roof. Hell, I'm actually excited to watch things I've already seen before. Just because now, they're gonna be done right. You know, like Gambit, or anything Fantastic Four? The developments to come out of this are going to be more than exciting. I'm sure the Marvel Studios "drawing board" has been split in half with what they were planning with what they could now be planning. We've still got awhile before we find out for sure if this is going down. Mid-2019 is about where we're looking for confirmation on finalizing the deal. Fingers crossed. Everyone else excited about this? Put it in the comments, like, & share.

Marvel's "10 Year Legacy" Video Has Me Really Thinking About The Scope Of All This

Marvel just released this video taking us all the way back to the beginning, & it's really got me thinking. Through the next couple of Avengers films, we're really looking at something monumental. Can you think of anything that's ever come close to what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has done I  the world of film? Star Wars or Star Trek would be the only immediate examples that come to mind, & they only have half the entries of the MCU. To put out this much content is amazing, but for even the bad entries to still be really good films is an amazing feat. I'm hoping for 10 more years plus of this, infinity & beyond for that matter. This just made me stop & think that's all. A huge amount of recognition should go out for the achievement made here, & I don't think people talk about that part enough. You're looking at an actual piece of history now when it comes to these films. This may never be duplicated. You see many are trying. Awesome time to be alive in the world of cinema, & the MCU is the driving reason for that. Keep en comin' Marvel Studios! What are y'alls thoughts on this awesome achievement in history, as well as this somewhat nostalgic trip through the past 10 years? Put it in the comments, like, & share.
